Press Release

We are pleased to announce our upcoming exhibition titled “Another Perspective: Jean Prouvé, Le Corbusier & Pierre Jeanneret through the eyes of Manuel Bougot,” showcasing Manuel Bougot’s photographs of architectures and interiors by Jean Prouvé, Le Corbusier & Pierre Jeanneret in juxtaposition with timeless pieces by these designers.

The show will include 11 photographs by Manuel Bougot, renowned French photographer, whose images were included in multiple publications on the work of Jean Prouvé and Le Corbusier & Pierre Jeanneret (published by the Edition du Patrimoine, Phaidon or the Fondation Le Corbusier) along with pieces by the legendary designers and architects.
Through his lens, Manuel Bougot will transport us to Chandigarh (Palace of the Assembly) and Amhedabad (Mills Owner Association), Nancy (Home of Jean Prouvé) and Provence (Villa Dollander); and contextualize about 20 pieces of furniture that were created for the projects.

Amongst soft nuances of Indian wood essences and incredibly strong metal realizations, the photographs will give the opportunity to the viewer to create a bridge between the aesthetic aspect of these pieces and their history, between the forms and their creator’s intentions. The show will open on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022, with an opening reception from 4pm to 7pm, and will run through Friday, July 15th, 2022. The gallery will offer an immersive experience between 4-4:30pm, with a guided tour of the exhibition allowing us to travel back in time and space to understand these projects and creations in depth.
