ANNIE FOURMANOIR (b.1931)
Annie Fourmanoir is a French studio potter and art teacher. She was born in Paris in 1931. After following linguistic studies in La Sorbonne, she learned pottery with Paul Chaumeil.
Since the 60s she creates pots and sculptures and explores glaze, forms, materials and textures. Her works is sometimes inspired by the marine universe.
She was rewarded with the silver medal of la Biennale de Vallauris (France). She regularly exhibits in museums and art galleries in France or in foreign countries (England, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Belgium). The museums of Sèvres (France) and Rösska (Sweden) bought some of her works.
